Guidelines for Mini-Scrapbook Project

Product:
A mini-scrapbook introduces events, settings, and actions, of the people from your chosen Alaskan Native Culture.

Process:


1. Research and take notes on the Alaskan Native Culture of your choice. Describe to the reader of your scrapbook what is unique about your chosen culture. Describe with pictures and words what it would be like to live in that culture. What tools do they use? What clothes do they wear? Where do they live in Alaska? Provide a map of where they live. What kind of housing do they live in? What are their customs and practices? --What ever you think is necessary for the reader to understand your topic.

2. Material: Create a scrapbook with 5 large inside pages or 10 half-size pages from construction paper. Use a color that is appropriate.

Contents:

1. The cover should have a title and an appropriate illustration.

2. The first pages should cover the region of Alaska your culture lives in and includes a map showing the location.

3. Illustrate your topic with pictures that must include written explanations of what hey are and why they are important to your chosen culture.

4. List all sources in a bibliography on the last page of the scrapbook.
