Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

Students are and have been required to bring textbooks, paper, and pens/pencils to geography class each day. Recently, many students have been unprepared at the start of each class period and I have been repeatedly asked permission by students to return to their lockers for their needed materials. Unfortunately, this process takes valuable time away from their learning experience as well as being disruptive for the entire class.

Therefore, a new policy has been implemented as of 3/29/99. Students who are unprepared for class must bring this form home to be signed by the parent or guardian and the form must be returned the following day's class period. Failure to return this form will result in a phone call home to ensure that parents/guardians are aware of the problem.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call and leave a message at Wendler's office, phone # 277-XXXX. I will return your call as soon as possible.

Sincerely,
Barbara Wilt (Student Teacher)
Ann M------- (Teacher)
